public health services
I strive to maximize public health in rural, remote and urban parts of Canada as well as the rest of the world. As a medical health officer, an epidemiologist/researcher, a professor and a clinician in occupational settings, I set out to assess and understand situations and needs, come up with options to solve or mitigate issues then tailor responses to maximize health benefits while monitoring outcomes and effects. Designing health messages to meet communities’ needs is a passion. I have worked in maternal and child health, infectious diseases including COVID-19 and Tuberculosis, food security, water and sanitation as well as environmental health.
I have spent my life trying to understand cultures and communities, and have traveled the world to do so.
I offer basic public health services:
monitoring and evaluation of programs
risk or needs assessments
mitigation strategies
prioritization
communication strategies
community-based solutions
